The online world has got so many opportunities to advance yourself that it is almost ridiculous to try and consider them all. When you think about it, you can learn from a whole bunch of the sites on the Internet, even if what you learn requires reading between the lines a little bit. After all, education is growth by its very nature, and that growth has got to come from inside of you for it to ever really occur. In order to grow as a person, you have got to expose yourself to a lot of different sources of knowledge, and understand that they are going to interact in bizarre ways.
First off, there is often a wide gulf between the ostensible concepts of “right” and “wrong” which various sources are going to spout off about. Since everybody considers themselves to be right, you have got to sort through a lot of different opinions which masquerade as facts if you are wanting to get at the purest truth available to you. After all, the truth is a very pliable thing, and it varies greatly based on who you talk to.
For another thing, your level of education does not just come from your exposure to a wide variety of different sources of potential knowledge. How you analyze and interpret what you read and hear from these sources will also cause you to grow in your personal education. After all, anyone can just take the sheep’s course, and blindly follow anyone who bothers to speak up at all. For those who are truly educated, independent thought is not optional- it is an absolute requirement if you are going to rise above merely being an uneducated follower.
